@tc, first welcome to CCF. Second, it would help to have a little more info about this piece. Does it have the same design on both sides? Is there any other inscription besides 25¢? I can't quite make out the word below: REGULAR or something similar? Finally, it is quite corroded--is it made from Aluminum?

It seems like a Trade Token, but it would be great to get a more complete attribution.

Thank you for welcoming me! The token had nothing discernible on the other side. I'm am not sure of what material it is made from although it is very thin and lightweight. Thank you again for welcoming me and for your help!

The octagonal shape and the numbers made of horizontal lines, look very much like British WW1 POW tokens. Those issued for use in prison camps in Britain were marked in shillings and pennies, those in France in centimes.

Here is a 50 centime token to compare :

10c tokens were round. I have not seen a 25c token so don't know if they exist. Perhaps this is one?

Thank you for the lead and taking time to look at my post! The horizontal lines do resemble your token. I'll do some more research following your lead. Ty again.
