I recently purchased a new roll of the Aussie coin hunt set. From what I understand the envelope privy marked A coins were randomly included in the rolls. It got me thinking, is it possible there still are some coins in unopened rolls out there? Also, is it possible to open a roll, inspect the A coin and seal the roll up? The cynical side of me suspects E-bayers are doing just that and selling the rolls as 'new'.

250 silver proof sets were made. 26 silver coins.
Don't know if an envelope privy silver proof was made.

ebay offering for silver proof set $4,500. Too much.

I generally find the price of Aussie coins too high. The bidding prices on ebay for non-proof decimal coin sets dumbfounds me.

more than likely search, very low percentage would be unsearch, since privy marked is at about 175-200 ish, With PNC version at about 2000 mintage. Assuming expected value would be rate of find * value of coin = expected value, I assume a very small amount maybe 1-5% (and this is a guess, unless someone know which I doubt) so expect value would be extra $2-$10 assuming you know the rolls are unsearched.

@ryurazu - Unsearched... That is my concern. With the envelope privy mark coins selling for $200+ I'm sure, if possible, certain low life's would open rolls to find the coins and then substitute them with a normal coin and resell as 'unsearched'.
