Has everyone been over to Numismaster and voted in the 2008 COTY poll?

Closes 4th Jan, the nominees are pictured and regular coin collectors get to vote (As long as you are registered (free) with Numismaster.

So get on over there!

I voted for the Austrian coin, beautiful design. The Australian one is also outstanding, and innovative. I also like the Hungarian coin but they won it last year. There are some great designs.

Tell us what you voted for and why.

And don't just vote for one from your own country!

My vote would be the Kangaroo sunset on the AUS $25, followed by Poland's Kracow commemorative.
I can't really cite my reasons...the AUS $25 is a very clean design, and Poland's is reminiscent of earlier coinage.

Yes the Aussie coin was a very close second for me I have to say.

I liked the Aussie Kanga, but I voted for the Chinese design. I just liked the traditional Chinese art style used to such effect on the coin. :)

Did not vote, but I like the Austrian and Polish coins in that selection best.

For some reason, the Aussie coin gives me chills... the good kind.

I voted for the Hungary 5000 Forint. I think they have quietly been producing some of the best coins in the world over the past few years.
