although I have been collection for may years, there is obviously quite a lot I havent been aware of. as I am reading the "posts" I have found several references to "boxex" or "bank boxes". would someone help me. what are they, where do I get them, any genereal information would be helpful. thanks.

I suspect you are referring to bank boxes of coins? You ask your bank to order them for you. It will likely take them around a week to get it in.

The other possibility is safety deposit boxes, which is you renting vault space from your bank.

Either way, ask your banker about it and they should be happy to help. (If they aren't, you can change banks)

You mean buying boxes from the bank to roll search?

dbrablec, I guess it depends where you live. There is no shortage of banks where I live. Just go in a bank and ask the teller for a box of whatever coins you are interested in. I search cents, 25.00/box and have been turned down only once. Check out tis site. Some amazing coins are found in rolls.
