I realize I posted the first post in the wrong place. What can I say, I'm a newbie! I inherited lots of coins from my Grandma and am very interested to learn.

Old US coins - Large Cents, Indian Head, tons of Wheat. The oldest is a 1795 Half Dime although it is very worn!

You have a good start toward a US type set that captures all the major design changes since the Mint at Philadelphia started production. Think about saving "quality" over "quantity" to assemble a small but impressive set that will please you for a long time to come. Use extra quantity to trade up for better coins. I'm glad the first question asked was not about how much they are worth. You are doing your GrandMa proud by respecting what she thought worthy of saving and handing down to you. Maybe someday you can play it forward for someone that you think is worthy of GrandMa's legacy.
