I can't find a listing for this on coppercoins, Wexler's, or varietyvista. In God We Trust and the 3 in the date look thicker, plus there's either wear marks, or it's struck through on both the obverse and reverse. I found a second 1993 D with the same thickness in the same locations, so I don't believe it's damage, but the second cent doesn't have the (struck through, or wear) lines on it. The next to last picture shows TRUST compared to a regular 1993 D. The last picture shows the second 1993 D with the thickness on the 3 in the date compared with the first.

It does look like a slightly Struck Through Grease filled die example. I think the lines are just roller lines left on the planchet that didn't flatten out due to the grease.
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

Note the '3' and Trust is showing a Struck Through Grease issue. How can I tell, the top narrow part of the normal '3' is missing and with the devices looking wider, the grease in the deep recesses of the die prevented that area to strike up. The weakness on the 'States of' is a common error. The grease was seen on several areas of the devices and fields, leaving the rolling lines showing. If the weight is under, then that might be the issue, but I feel several areas are showing a Struck Through Grease issue on your coin.

Thank you. I figured that it was Struck Through Grease. I thought it might have been through cloth because I've seen pictures with lines like those, or just worn in an odd way. Like someone rubbing it across a pair of jeans. The weight is normal for that year. Any idea about the DDO? I can post a few more pictures of that, or the other coin if needed.

If feel it is normal. None one has a DDO listed for that year yet on that area. Coppercoins has a listing, but it is a doubled ear issue: http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/...ie_state=mdsI feel all of the extra width is from the Struck Through Grease issue. When you look at the two TRUST images you have, the outer edges are both the same width/height. The upper part of the devices are prevented to be struck on your coin with grease. Not a DDO.

What about the second coin compared to a regular 1993 D? Edit - I guess it does look a bit flat doesn't it.

One has more grease on the '3' than the other. Both are from the same issue. Struck Through Grease. Keep in mind the a slight amount of grease may come off the filled area of the die with each strike. So they more grease, the wider the devices will be. The lesser amount of grease will show the taper of the devices. Note the first three digits are all normal sized on both images? The last digits devices are the ones with more/less grease in them.
