The edges look a bit strange, but I think this is retained die break (precud) - RCD-1c-1946-04R from Cuds on coins.

I agree retained Die Cud. Just starting to show the movement of a normal die break. It hasn't broken off the die yet.

I'll have one that is less clear tonight or tomorrow. If I can find it on my desk. I finished my 1946 P's last night. Man do they have a lot of LAM errors (I know what those look like so not posting every one).
