This isn't mine, but I'm looking at it. What do you guys think, cleaned?

Looks cleaned to me. Does the 2 look normal to you all? John1

The color is too pink. I think it's been cleaned with something acidic. I've seen Indian Head cents cleaned with ketchup that have the same color. Edit: I did a quick search for 1862 IH cents and the 2 seems normal for the year, but there may be something else going on.
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

This might be S-3 - can you give us a tight close-up of the date?

Coinfrog, you remember, I'll go out of my way to give you special shots, because I value your opinion, but there sellers pictures, so I'm at a loss.
I was looking to bid this one 6 days out, I just don't know, this is the best I can do.

Why yes it is, but I have cherry picked a few things from the guy and have been happy with what I received. Yes he runs a lot of altered/cleaned things, but he runs so much volume, I think he looses track sometimes, so I cherry pick.
This one in particular throw me for a loop, so I posted it.

It does appear to be messed with and is likely an AU+ coin that's been worked on in hopes of selling it as MS. I could be wrong, and often am, but that's what I see from here.

Variety aside, I would grade it mid-AU details (cleaned).

I haven't heard of that one either, but what surprises me is that the "DONT clean coins" campaign has been around forever, and unless you trying to rip off new collectors, there is no point in doing it, as the TPG will catch it.

I'm not understanding reverse denticles , obverse rim from 1-5:00 and the 2 in date looks weird . Coin also looks cleaned .

If it stays cheap enough, I'll have a look.

6 days to go and at $132.50, I won't be taking a look lol, if this coin is ketchup, mustard or mayonnaise, someone else will find out about it.
