coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 09/05/2020 8:45 pm Well the Lincoln Cent I think it was added to the design in 1909 on the reverses. And the back lash of having his initials on his initials on the reverse so large, they pulled dies in in a few months to appease everyone. The design of Longacre hading the 'L' didn't start until 1864 with the 'L' on the ribbon. It took me a long time to even see it. So the 1859-1863 didn't have the initials.
