Hey guys, I have not posted them on the forum until now (because of a few rules I need to follow first ) but I am producing a series called "Spare Change" which talks about the history and information about coins. I will list the first two videos below so you can see them. I am going to post the third video later this week. Let me know what you guys think Spare Change Ep 01 (Coin collecting do's and dont's) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03kuXf0x1QgSpare Change Ep 02 (The Morgan dollar) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00m2BePa0WgIf you think this post needs to be moved to another part of the forum just let me know

btw youtube has done something goofy and changed everything to widescreen so the video looks a little strange. I will have this corrected in the new video about the liberty head double eagle

I watched the first video...I liked it! One of my favorite aspects to the production is that it's friendly and "easy to digest" for beginners--very important for a new generation of collectors. I also know which " ebay guy" you're talking about--and he actually "basement slabs" his own coins (public info). I won't name any names, hehe.

I watched both of them about a week ago and think they are very well put together. I have a 11 year old niece that is just starting out in numismatics and sent her links to the videos and she liked them both. Thank You for taking the time to do this project. I think it will be a real help in getting good information into the hands of younger collectors who grew up on the computer and with video. Books seem to be getting more and more foreign to children.

I saw these when you first posted them, and I wanted to go back to your youtube account to see if you had posted the third one yet, but I couldn't find the original thread. I therefore assumed that you HAD violated some forum rule about posting media as a new member or such and your thread had been deleted. Guess I was right.
I did like them. Since I don't really care to spend a lot of money on printed coin literature the videos where pretty neat.

If you guys have any ideas for the show please let me know! Quote:I also know which " ebay guy" you're talking about--and he actually "basement slabs" his own coins (public info). I won't name any names, hehe. I know I cant believe the guy is still allowed to sell coins on ebay..lol

I don't think the forum should name him directly, since he's rather litigious. However, you can always check any eBayer against the list of "Discouraged Sellers" to get a member's opinion.

He is actually tagged in the videos tags and if you Google the name from ebay the video does come up. However, I did not really name any names in the video I just do not understand why he has 5000+ positive feedbacks and only about 50 negative ones I am about to start doing video reviews of real companies online that sell coins. It will be covered as a fair review because its my own personal experience buying from these guys just for the video review. So far I have three of them in the works (Ga----ville coins, AP--X, and c--st to c--st coins) you will just have to wait and see what the ratings are on these guys (sorry about the dashes but you can probably figure the names out..lol). I bet you can guess who got the worst review..lol. I hope it will help new collectors with creditable dealers and those to be weary of unless you know what you are doing or just avoid all together. The reviews will be 100% fair and honest. I'm not coinworlds ad department I apologize to any of you guys that love the magazine. I like it too I just disagree with some of their ad revue.
