Is it just me, or does this look like a man kneeling on one knee playing a horn?

I believe that what you have is a "quarter" which was poorly casted in a mold.

I do not believe a minted quarter could ever have all the flaws which your "coin" has.

Even the coloring is wrong!

Other opinions?

The red/coppery tint is probably a reflection of something red (shirt?) in the area.

I have to say the reverse does look authentic. However there is minor weakness at UNITED which is on the opposite side of the coin from some of the "raised" material below IGWT. I don't think this area below IGWT should affect the opposite side like a large Cud would tend to do.

Interesting to see if the OP is able to get some acetone and give it a soak to see if the extra raised material will come off. If it doesn't, it may be interesting die damage on this coin.

Where did you find this coin?

yes, the reverse looks authentic, if it is really the reverse of the same coin.

I, for one, am not convinced.

I see marks at the bottom of the wing looks like a lengthened wing. See the mark on the "Q" and surrounding area also a small amount into the rim below the Q and a few other places ,. But has for the rest , I'll sit back and watch

I am interested since it does look like it could be some type of die damage that we're seeing here, but the photos and video are all just too potato quality for me to offer any confident assessment.
