I have zero experience with Arabic. So if there are any of you who are familiar with this script please let me know what you can read off the coin. Report this Post to the Staff

Kushanshah Pillar of the Community United States 1554 Posts	Posted 09/13/2020 3:48 pm All four of these are actually Artuqids of Mardin (in the Ayyubid style). The lower half of the obverse cites the ruler: al-malik al-Sa'id / Ghazi. The upper half of the obverse cites his Ayyubid overlord (reading upward): al-malik al-Nasir / Yusuf. The reverse cites the 'Abbasid caliph: al-imam / al-Musta'sim / billah amir al-mu'- / -minin. Mint and date in obverse margin. Kalima in reverse margin. All struck at Mardin. Album 1834.4.
