There appears to be something where the D should be although it depends on the angle you look at it. Obviously the ED ruins the value anyway and the coin is pretty worn but I'm just curious if the variety can be identified.

I agree with the Frog! It's actually only considered a variety if there is no sign whatsoever of a D mintmark.
