Machine doubline. On incuse devices, MD will present the same way a doubled die does on raised devices. (this makes sense, since MD mimics the process by which hubbing causes doubling on dies - raised features reduced, incuse features enlarged)

That is Machine Doubling. I know your now thinking, but its enlarged? Well these are not raised devices. They are incuse devices. The devices are below the surface of that areas fields. So Machine Doubling enlarges devices on that area of the coin. There are no DDR's on that area of the coin. The DDR are location in the central areas of the designs on these coins. If you have modeling clay, you can press that on these devices and take a look. They will be raised, just like they are on the die. They this on other raised devices and you will see what they look like on the die. Just a normal coin with Machine Doubling. I took 100 of these quarters and did a survey and 70% of these coins show slight to strong Machine Doubling. Just 30% are normal ones. Take a look at some other sites to see where the DDR's are on these:

No DDRs listed, but there is one DDO on an area you might have missed?
