Im thinking this is a large motto and I grade it as a vf20? Rookie though so I'm probably way off.

Large motto.
I'd say XF, probably -40.

Agreed with XF-40, a bit lacking on the eye appeal however.

Yep it's a large motto, I'd go no more than EF40 due to spotting on reverse and possible details for the rim damage on obverse @ 7:00 the arrow shaft, lots of ticks and roughness on reverse in the fields around the 2.

As to the variety; it is a Leone 19R one of the more common die marriages.
