Hi all, I have a 1941-s penny with the D missing from "In God We Trust"

Please let me know what you guys think. I found this whole looking through coin rolls.

here it is(Obverse only):

I've looked it up and can't find any examples besides this one

I don't believe a Greaser is considered an error , Just my opinion which has been on the down side lately .

But this one is as far as I've seen, Unique, I havent found any others like this at all

The removed D is likely a grease strike, but remotely possible could have just been removed with a knife and some skill.

Your photos are great, but still a shade too blurry for the other thing. Your coin is a 1941-S large mint mark, and the DDO-001 is on this. Kinda looks promising as it's a very light doubled die but might be showing on your coin. Something to look into with your coin in-hand.

Hmm, I sure hope nobody destroyed this coin like that, because I now see that DDO clear as day; and the grease error too? with a large S? wow, thanks a ton for sharing that info w me, I'll have to look into it.
