David Graham Pillar of the Community Australia 1610 Posts	Posted 09/20/2020 12:41 am I do love some of the US coins, especially the Peace dollars, although my collection is somewhat on the thin side. I often get low value modern US coins (I think I have a complete set of Lincoln Memorial 1 cents) from noodling bulk foreign coins but rarely get any earlier material hence my pleasant surprise when I pulled out this 1868 Shield nickel. It's heavily worn and the date is only just legible. I'm sure y'all find these coins in better condition among your lunch change but for a noodler in Oz I thought it was a pretty cool find, so thought I'd post it. Report this Post to the Staff
