Saw this and and first I thought there was some substance on the coin. Let it soak in some acetone and no change. Doesn't look like a scratch on magnification. Could this be something struck with the coin or is it just PMD? Thanks!

Neither. Just a stain on the surface of the coin.

Looks like a post mint scratch to me. There is nothing in the minting process that would cause a mark like this. PMD.

Thanks - thought it looked like some type of fiber or a hair, especially with the additional lines off the main line near Lincoln's nose. I don't know enough about the minting process. Appreciate the feedback.
