This 2018 penny seems to have very light writing on the reverse top. Could this be as a result of excess grease? Its weight is normal.

I can see some likely grease effects, but certainly no "writing".

You have a minor Greaser (partially Grease Filled Die). Common on cents, especially in the same area as yours. Sorry, no premium.

As Coinfrog mentioned, there is no "writing" on coins. They are minted from dies that are engraved with letters and images.

@Ikuna, to us writing on coin means somebody took a marker or something sharp and scratched or wrote on the coin.
