Bytheway, I have purchased today a bottel of pure parafin oil for the experiment on copper coins as we discussed (hope that you still remember). KurtS Pillar of the Community United States 5318 Posts	Posted 11/27/2008 7:47 pm Amr, Great--I would experiment first on a common coin and see the results. I would try soaking first for a day and see if the copper changes color (it shouldn't). With mineral oil, I've found some dirt will lift of copper coins without any effort. Good luck!
