1972-P Kennedy Half. What Is Going On?

Took this to my LCS today and had him check it out. He said this is a strange one. Whatever produced this happened in the right way and said that if someone were faking or intentionally doing this that they knew what they were doing. The thing that was giving him issue is the coloration along the error. The upper strike caused issue with the 7 on the obverse side as well. What happened here guys?

Looks like post mint damage to me. What caused the damage is an unknown. The discolouration looks like burn marks to me.

Looks like Machine Doubling and the looser for a coin toss. ( PSD)

Looks like it might have a very tiny clipped planchet.
