Hi Guys,

I released the third video in the spare change series yesterday. Its about the liberty head double Eagle. Let me know what you think and if I goofed up anything..lol I said at the end that type III was from 1876-1907 I noted in the videos overlay 1877-1907 which is correct. Sorry about that mess up. The series has been delayed until early next year and I will have the 4th episode out on the Franklin half dollars . Hope all of you had a great thanksgiving

Thank you for another great video. The sound effect of falling coins at the beginning had me under my desk looking to see what I had dropped.

if you have incorrect facts in your videos, would you like to hear about them? I dont want to just post them and sound like I'm criticizing. the videos are very good.

Oh yes please give me criticism. As long as its constructive its all good. If a got a fact wrong let me know too. I know some of the things between Peale and Longarce were not documented and hearsay, but if you have an opinion please let me know too. It will make the videos better

i dont know enough about the double eagles to give accurate criticism but I can give you a few tips on the morgan one.
in 1878, there were more than just 3 hubs used. i'll have to look up the exact number but there are at least 10 hub varieties. theres also about 200 die varieties just for 1878P.
the highest grade for a Morgan dollar is maybe half a dozen MS69. 1880S, 1881S, 1896S are the three dates I know of; and PR69 1880, 1881, 1895, 1896, 1898, 1899. I dont have access to the population reports from the top TPG companies but I'm sure someone here does.
1893S had a mintage of 100,000 I think. RedBook says 77k, but every other report I've seen has 100,000.
i think you should mention the GSA sales and condition rarities; especially coins like 1885CC and 1903O where a G4 one is only 10%less than a mint state one, and also the 84S and 92S where a circulated piece is relatively common but mint state ones go into the tens and hundreds of thousands of dollars. morgans are the most unique type when it comes to condition rarities. hundreds of millions of morgans sat in vaults for decades and are still uncirculated, while other dates were entirely placed into circulation.

Thanks for the heads up on the data. I really should have gone into more detail about the morgan and the specifics you mentioned. The reason I did not is because of the length of the video. On average most internet viewers will watch a max of 5 mins of a video before they stop. I honestly could have made the Morgan dollar video over an hour if a I wanted too... I was really pushing it at 10 mins..

I hope I can do a more detailed video on the morgans later after I get the series kicked off more If you have any suggestions for more shows just let me know.

you can always have an episode on just the GSA dollars

others that I think would be interesting and easy to limit to 5-10 minutes..
dahlonega and charlotte mints
1804 dollar
1933 double eagle
1870 at the san francisco mint
branch mint proofs
origin of the small cent
1894S dime
