Hi there, I have been trying to look all over the net and am not really having any luck, I have a wide range of old pennies and half pennies and one or two three pence , I guess ranging from 1897 to 1963 and I would like to know what their worth is. is there anywhere where you can look up a table to see what each coin is worth?

G'day & welcome,
there are two techniques.

1. get a catalogue: Renniks or the other one. Values are retail. You can deduct 60 ~ 75% from that.

2. go to ebay, and search completed sales, to get a picture of real prices.

In either case, you need to realisticly "grade" your coins.

Unless you are sitting on something very special, Australian Pre-decimal bronze generally goes for about Oz$10 a kilo.

Coins earlier than 1910 (for silver, 1911 for bronzes) will be British, not Australian. Prior to Australia getting its own coins, British coins were used here.

There is a fairly new Internet price guide for Australian coins, authored by forum member wwwww - the penny price list can be found here, the threepence list can be found here.

The latest Greg McDonald catalogue will be released this month, with the lastest prices, and updated features. The price is $29.95, and it is available from all book stores. You can probably pick it up from ebay in a few weeks.
