I don't think this is a true DDR, but the doubling is impressive - especially E PLURIBUS UNUM. The doubled sections are silvery in color.

It's split plate doubling. The pressure of the strike broke the copper plating and exposed the zinc core. While it's interesting and is very impressive, it's considered damage and reduces the coins value. I don't know of anyone that collects split plate doubled coins.

I'm interested in the small anomaly on the reverse rim at K:5. Tiny clip? Anyone know what it could be?

I used my scanner at highest res. Good for showing detail and eliminating glare. Bad for showing toning and luster.

Also when you buy Zincolns that are for your collection or are varieties, if they have the split plating on them, that makes them a problem coin when you go to sell them:

I didn't see the split plating on this one when I bought it. Now if I sell it, it is less desirable to a seasoned collector. Look before you leap when buying coins:
