Can anybody help me distinguish if this could be the 801 or 802 DDR variety?

Hello SwmpOwl011

A quick look tells me it is FS-802.

FS-802 has stronger doubling compared to FS-801.

Look at the the forward leg of "R" in AERMICA.

SIDE NOTE: For others to provide more accurate responses, please post pictures of all doubling areas. ALSO, a big diagnostic for identifying the variety, post a close up picture of the MINTMARK in relationship to devices by it.

Have you checked Wexler's listing for that year/mint?
http://doubleddie.com/1570202.html
There are 6 different ones listed there. When taking images of your doubled die, try capturing images that will match the sites. Then you can look for die markers like scratches that might help you to determine what die number you have. The spread is not as strong as the examples on Wexler's site. I check to see if PCGS had examples of 801 & 802, but they don't.

I don't see much of any spread on the "ONE" and looking at Wexler's I'm leaning towards FS801. Thoughts?
