So do I keep it? And Is it of value? I'm an aspiring collector so if I come across anything of value I take it to my dad to store in his safe. Thanks again

I would save it! It's a nice example of a die chip and it'll only cost you 5¢ to keep it. It's best to post full images of both sides when asking for an opinion on value of any coin. This type of die chip is fairly common and this doesn't really add any value, but it is interesting!
