After taking an interest in this forum and now noticing things about notes that I otherwise would not, I'm curious as to whether all star notes carry a premium to some degree?

To put it succinctly: no.

Large size, yes. Small size stars fluctuate on supply, demand and condition. The current trend is, moderns almost always need to be uncirculated to carry a premium, especially in the higher denominations. The pre-1950 small size stars have a better chance of having a premium even in circulated condition. But to sum up your question in one word, No, not all star notes carry a premium.

In general, FRN's star notes don't have a premium unless they are CU.

I'm glad someone asked because I thought all star notes were at least a little bit desirable! I'll still keep them when I find them, just because they look neat...

If you ever find a Series 1988 Atlanta $1 FRN star note for cheap, consider yourself lucky. That note is $1000 in CU.

So, prices on them do vary.

This modern (2017) circulated $1 Minneapolis replacement note brought almost $200.

The "all even [numbers]" in that seller description is sounding like the Cool Serial Checker . You can come up with something fancy to say about almost any serial number.

The 2003A $2 Atlanta FRN star note is worth a nice premium, as is the 2009 $2 NY FRN star note.
