PMG question. I have the USPS tracking number recording receipt of the package two weeks ago. How long does it usually take for them to just acknowledge receipt of the package? Not processing, just receipt on the website?

and sent it in for gradating, should be back in a few weeks, ill post the grade. I was just too curious as it is the only note I have

Always liked the looks of the Black Eagle note - and yours is very nice. So far I don't have one in my collection but I'm always keeping my eyes open for one -

I think your Black Eagle will grade either EF 40 or VF 35 depending on how PMG views the handling crinkles on the side of the note. It has a vertical and horizontal fold and the backside bottom margin shows one more. Still a very nice note with good eye appeal and a solid example for the grade.

Usually, misalignment is a big negative. A great example is the 1928 red seal $1. A beautiful, perfect note that has great embossing, and is totally beautiful CU, will come back graded MS64 or MS63, (as opposed to a gem ms65) because of lousy margins.

Thanks for all the input, and no matter how it comes back, this is a first note grading, so it is more of a bucket list thing for me. Rolled the dice, see what comes up :)

Next to the $10 Bison, my favorite US paper money design. The eagle is majestic yet threatening at the same time.

Totally worth submitting (with perfect hindsight) now that it came back as a XF45. Very nice example.

Thanks all for the input, now that I have a PMG membership, I might start into notes after the Morgan collection is done. Need something else to do :)
