1959 Penny Unusual "lines" On Obverse

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 10/22/2020 4:47 pm Die scratches don't happen on the higher points of the coin. The head is not affected by die polishing. These must be rolling lines on the planchet. Shows more on the obverse of the coin more than the reverse. Report this Post to the Staff

They don't alter the grade. But I would not have it graded. Too much to spend on a possible MS-64 or 65.
