Just received a packet from Belgium and this was among my winnings. This Stater is from the Celtic Corisolites, who were active in modern-day Brittany in the late BC timeframe. @ancientnoob goes into great detail on the history of this tribe here: http://goccf.com/t/134756.

Mine came attributed as DT 2332 and Scheers, Dan, 235. I see an old identification number "6" in ink between the curls of hair, but haven't been able to chase back the provenance back to a specific museum or private collection.

Coin pictured shows up the celtic style of artwork quite nicely.

Interesting about the "6". Normally would detract from the value a bit, but if you can establish good provenance via the "6", it may even add some value.
Let's hope you can track it down.

Thx everyone! The abstract portrait is very nice on this one, but the man-headed horse is a bit off flan. The design element between the horse's legs is a lyre.
