This Stater is from the Celtic Corisolites, who were active in modern-day Brittany in the late BC timeframe. @ancientnoob goes into great detail on the history of this tribe here: http://goccf.com/t/134756. Mine came attributed as DT 2332 and Scheers, Dan, 235. I see an old identification number "6" in ink between the curls of hair, but haven't been able to chase back the provenance back to a specific museum or private collection. Normally would detract from the value a bit, but if you can establish good provenance via the "6", it may even add some value. Let's hope you can track it down.
