This 1981 Penny is unusually thin however, same size as a normal penny diameter. The weight of the Penny should be 3.11 grams however, it is 2.392 grams. Any ideas and potential value?

Sorry but it's just a damaged coin. It has no premium other than face value

to the CCF! Looks like it sat in some type of acidic liquid that ate away at the metal. We see quite a few of these and unfortunately it is just a damaged cent worth face value.
