You know looking at things with today's sensibilities makes it impossible to follow history and respect anyone who rightly deserves respect. On one issue what an important Emperor, where would the world be if he did not save Rome as he did. But his methods would easily be considered huge war crimes when you think especially how he mass murdered Jews long before he finally took Jerusalem. I remember my dad saying how much all he and his friends voted for Truman as he had the guts to give him a break and make him not have to do that darn island hopping and getting killed trying to uproot the Japanese. But especially that second city with the nuclear bomb, what we did in today's mindset is astounding. Either way Vespasian was really worth diving into and this documentary helped me think a lot about a lot of things in our modern world surprisingly.
