At first glance it looked like an incomplete planchet punch/clip, but the obverse arc doesn't line up and you can see some of the beads imprinted.

My guess is PMD.

Not a mint error. Face value only (or a conversation piece).

I disagree with you. A friend of mine gave me this link which shows a similar coin from USA.

Have a look at this thread here, which is my, now authenticated, incomplete planchet punch.

Notice the complete arc/cut and no presence of any beads.

Doesn't look like a dual misalignment, as all devices are properly centered on your coin.

What does PMD stand for?

I don't see how it could be a vise job - can you explain?

PMD= post mint damage, meaning it didn't happen at the mint. A "vise-job" is where 2 coins are pressed together in a vise. Sometimes a piece of leather is used with the vise so you can't see the metallic marks from the vise jaws.

Post mint damage....classic example. Unfortunately there are many, many people buying so called error coins on ebay and getting taken. See if you can return coin if worth your while.

I paid $1 for it - live and learn.
Did pick up a 1995 DDO from same guy for $10 - one I was missing of recent Lincoln errors - I had been looking for it for years in rolls. Did pick up 1984 DDO MS64 and 1997 Double ear MS66 (both NGC) by looking through rolls.
