I was asked to look at a coin collection inherited by a neighbour. There was an interesting page of NCLT dollar coins. Only 3 in their original sleeves and all looked very UNC. Some I had never seen before.

2003 dollar Korean War dollar C mint mark
2004 dollar Eureka S mint mark in sleeve
2004 dollar Eureka
2001 dollar Centenary Army C mint mark in sleeve
2006 dollar Games M mint mark
1995 dollar Waltzing Matilda C mint mark
1998 dollar Florey C mint mark
1999 Dollar Anzacs C mint mark
2001 dollar Air Force
2001 dollar Army S mint Mk
2001 dollar Navy
2005 dollar Gallopoli C mint Mark
2007 dollar Television Mint mark B
2007 dollar Harbour Bridge Mint mark B
2008 dollar Mary MacKillop Mint mark C

Yup, a whole bunch of NCLT coins there. Most would be around the $3 mark but some like the Florey and Quarantine fetch higher prices in the $4-8 range. Nothing earth shattering price wise. Usually bought as carded pieces at Numismatic events hence the B, C, M, P and S mint marks depending on which city the event was held. I have had a few of these turn up in circulation even though they were not released into circulation. A search of Sold listings on ebay will give a good feel for value if the neighbour wants to sell. I'm still discovering RAM coins that I didn't know existed.

yes all print by the RAM, sadly not very valuable if that what you asking, maybe worth retail. only the limited edition or 1 dollars with collectable counter parts are worth something, bush babies or lunar PNCs. two main reason there are too many different mintages and mint marks.

I found it curious that if he was a collector, then he should not have removed them from their original cards. But they are too good a condition to have noodled them.

I collect Canadian NCLTs' and find the cards more of a distraction. I've ripped out many coins and put them in 2x2's and then in a binder, but otherwise I have most still in their cards dumped in a plastic tote.

I always remove my coins from the card, especially if they have a clear plastic cover, but are touching the cardboard on the back.

I remove mine from the cards and store in coin capsules. I guess it depends on what you collect. I collect coins, not coins in wrappers. If I see the same coin issued in 5 different ways I will buy just the cheapest. I can't afford to buy multiple coins for the sake of some different coloured/shaped cardboard.
