I was looking through a bunch of two dollar bills and in the stack there was a two dollar note that was sticking out. After looking at it I found out that it is 6.25in long instead of 6.14in. There is nothing special about the note other than the length.

What in the world is up with it and what is it worth?

just sounds like it was cut a little longer, don't think it would be worth more because of that. I know people that have had sheets of bills and they cut them their self so it would be either longer or shorter than a regular bill because it was done at home with either scissors or some other type of cutting utensil

I have one too. I thought it was an error, but I realized there were those $2 bill sheets and people probably had fun cutting them. It was too long and too high in lengths. I can post a picture, but I don't have it with me. Maybe in the next few weeks.

thats the scary part... the bills that are cut with half the bill showing if you no the error I am talking about could have been from some regular person cutting them that way and selling them for a profit

Take it to a dealer to look at. Better yet, take it to a coin show to get multiple opinions. The note could have been cut with a gutter fold in the margin thus producing a longer note without affecting the design.

If the serial number is G83445889A, then it was from a normal run and could be a miscut. If the first letter is any other letter, then it was most likely from an uncut sheet that someone cut up.
