I apologize if I posted this in the wrong category.

I'm trying to find out what kind of coin this is. Maybe it's not a coin, but a token?

"Nemo nos nisi mors separet" and "Ora et labora".

40 mm
28 g

Certainly not a coin. Probably a marriage medal, given by the groom to his bride. The text on the obverse means No one but death shall part us, graphically illustrated by the skeleton, and on the reverse He (god) shal give us fruits and Pray and Work. The couple give each other the right han as a sign of their commitment. Eternal love is indicated by the two hearts tied together and the handshake on the obverse. It probably was made in Germany and dates from the 17th century. I do not see intitials of a medalist on the photo. I have not yet found a reference. Nice, interesting medal!
