Hello, I'm new to the forums so bare with me. I was wondering if you guys could tell me if what grade you think it is and if it were to be sent to ICCS would the burn on the reverse be a problem. Thanks!

I don't think the toning is caused from a cleaning I've seen many of these graded with that steel blue colour with no mention of cleaning.
I would also consider the grade to be at least AU55 if not better. just my opinion.

Cheers, Bill

Obverse is gorgeous - looks well into AU territory to me. It's a little harder to tell on the reverse, which looks more like an EF-40. But it's possible that this is due to the heavy toning (or whatever that stuff is. My gut is that there's some finer leaf detail underneath that would bring it into register with the obverse.

That's the large 96 variety which is the most scarce of the two. Not sure but I would guess that, in auction, it would have a solid chance to go for over $100. If the reverse were stronger then it might crack $200....

I like that coin! It shouldn't go below AU.
