Is this just wear and tear? Or mint error? The obverse is is so different from reverse. What do you all think?

This has been buffed / polished - it is PMD, worth FV. Also, that is Lincoln, not Kennedy.

A Kennedy cent would have been something novel! no mint error here, just a harshly cleaned Lincoln Memorial cent. Post mint damage ( PMD). Keep searching!

Omg so sorry. I've been looking at coins all day to the point where Lincoln and Kennedy start to blur together.

I am having a lot more fun now that I joined up with you guys. I have been searching for some place to get confirmation or try again. These errors get so confusing sometimes. I have been collecting coins that catches my eye with some kind of oddity for about a year but didn't know what to do with them. now I know. Got a whole lot more to put up.

Errors is a term used loosely. Coin damage is not an error. We use terms like varieties, errors in a totally different way and die events:
