Quote: I bought a Harris folder just yesterday and am going to put a coating of mineral oil on the coins before inserting them, did read somewhere that that helps keep them good and shiny.
I don't recommend using mineral oil! It contains trace impuritys like sulfur, chlorine and phosphorus that will act to damage the surfaces over time. If you want to protect your coins, keep them DRY and SEALED from air. I recommend multiple layers of protection, i.e. airtites, 2x2's, plastic binder pages, ziplocks, desiccant packs and tupperware. If you store you coins correctly, they will be fine for decades. Using oil is a big, messy mistake. As a hardcore Lincoln collector, when I see an oiled coin, I absolutely cringe.

Just got through with the major sorting and had 7's and 8 wheaties with a 1920 the oldest. Was able to use the '46, and '49 plus an upgrade on my '55 S. Ooops gotta make that 8 of the S MM's. Hopefully my scope comes in the next day or so then can upload a pic or two.

This is a closeup of the diebreak on lincolns cheek. Guess it is a die break. This is another coin with the same diebreak. Believe this is the one they call professional life.
