Going to go and knock out 2 bags of loose pennies from two of my relatives. I already spotted a 1918 wheat. Looks like lots of copper, too. I'll post what I get. HAPPY NEW YEAR...........TO ALL!

Hey Butch, I have wanted to pull one of those since my first day of reading this thread where I saw one posted here. There were 2 of them in one CWR. Gave one to my 9 year old granddaughter who has caught the bug.

This coin from the Bahamas is one of my all time favorites that I have found. Wife found one in the first box we bought and found the second one last night.

Then there is this low relief 2 cent Euro pulled a few weeks ago. Think it would be a nice coin if it wasn't all beat up.

Maineman thinking the holidays and folks digging for all they can to buy them gifts might have something to do with it.

Pulled 54 wheaties from this last box but one big problem is they are someones dumps. Looks like they were soaked in water for ages and not really worth having. The really sad part is some of them are really good strikes and not much wear. And not a one will fill a hole. Oh yea, they were all from the 40s and 50s. Plus one canadian and the starfish.

I'm finished with my $130 of pennies I got for Christmas: $72 in copper, 58 wheats, 35 modern S mint, 34 canadians including a 1944, one 2006 double ear. Nothing great really, a 29-S being the best wheat. No WAM's or RDV-006 88's. I guess I'll double my money on the copper cents though, so I can't complain.

oldcoach - cool finds! I love the Bahamian pennies - have several myself. not sure why they occur with such frequency around here. Your two Euro cent piece is from France. I have one two - except mine is from Italy.

maineman - nice haul! I love seeing what everyone else gets. Planning on getting myself a box on Monday!
