Greetings again,

Took it a little easy today on my tellers and only took $10 of their penny stash. This time it could have been better - but hey - did get something from the last roll. Here are the results:

Wheat: 1 (1950)
Canadian: 25 (1964, 1967)
Lincoln heritage: 6 (3 varieties, again no cabin, both mint marks for none)
Lincoln shield: 25 (both mint marks)

I plan on hitting up my work bank tomorrow for a box - we'll see how that goes. Happy hunting!

- Scott

Selling $100 at a time helps...you don't want to sell small quantities and $100 FV is the most you can put in a flat rate box so it is the most cost efficient way to sell. I don't make any claims either, just that they are 82 or earlier and the 82's were weighed.I do throw in 50 extra cents for luck.I always look at completed listings and see which ones bring the best price, then use that as my basic template.

Happy New Year everyone... I looked through 2 boxes this week, and wanted to post my findings..

Wheats - 1909, 1921 (2), 1939, 1941, 1942, 1944 (3), 1944D, 1945, 1946, 1946D, 1947, 1948, 1949, 1951S, 1952, 1952D, 1954D, 1956 (2), 1957, 1957D, 1958D.

Other coins - 1983 Error coin (I posted pictures of it in another post under "Modern US coins", 1941 Canadian, 1955 Canadian, 1967 Canadian, a nice looking 1971S US (I have a hard time finding S's..) and about 10 or so other later date Canadians that I'm sending back to the bank..

And I counted 1,340 coppers which I'm holding onto until I have enough to make it worth selling.

Not bad. Except for the obvious keys, you think it's possible to find almost all the wheats by roll searching?

Thanks Northwestseeker. I don't know if I got lucky, I'm hoping that that's the way it is over here (Long Island, NY), because I'm going to try and look through as many boxes as I can get..
I'll post as I go through them..

up here in alaska it kinda seems like what is up here just stays here, although it is fun to be a cashier, because you can tell when someone dumped grandpa's stash, like last month I found two Buffalo nickels in a roll and then the next day I found 3 50's wheats in a single roll..
