oldcoach..sorry...but I did have a long dry spell there..funny thing is that I was disappointed with this bag because somebody must have gotten the coppers....only about 8% and only 5 wheats...I still have about $12-$15 to go.
And coppertop...it's the big one DDO1...I would note it if it were one of the minor varieties.
SilverRoosevelt, those pigs are great on the grill if you get enough of them.

That would be better determined on the right category...modern errors...we mostly brag and BS here but coop and coppercoins don't come here much. And did you know you can use text and pictures on the same post ? Just type the text first, then add the pictures.

Guys I need help , is possible to a 1972 LMC have the DDO showing in the date and not on the lettering on the top of the coin as usual ? I found today what I think is a 1972 DDO but the double is only showing on the number 72 of the date , I'm so excited because I'm seeing a thine 72 stamped over the larger 72 so have anybody seen it before ? Plus I found a amazing 1988 LMC out of center that cut the Lincoln memorial almost in half , is so cool because the image is only in half of the coin in both sides .
I have to learn how to post pics because I want so bad share with you guys my finds even because I have nobody to share with !

Ricardocody, the 1972 is probably Machine Doubling but we would need pics to be sure. The off center 1988 is a cool find and very collectable.
Yeah coppertop, I know what you mean...just wanted you to get it over there so it could be confirmed...it's hard to tell with the shadows, but I'll bet some of the other guys may know anyway.

Did a quick run through of a String box last night...good for wheats and copper. Got 31 wheats including a 1915,1925,3-1934,1936. Had 10 1940's and 15 1950's. Over all the copper % was at a little better than 30%. No major error or variety finds yet.

hey hoosier ,

lots of copper in my area but its still hit or miss.
I had one batch of 1000 pennies yeild around 540 coppers. 54%
Then one batch of 1000 pennies yeild only 160 coppers. 16%

the average for 1000 pennies seems to be around 280-320 in my area. ( - %32
excluding those super high batches and flop rolls I just leave those two batches out becuase they are super high and super low and are not the norm

I usually do 20 rolls a day
10 morning 10 at night.
today is friday going to the bank to get $100 face to keep me buzy this weekend hope for some nice stuff

Maineman - I though about the Machine Doubling but what made me wonder if really is a DDO was the fact that is the whole number 72 is double ! But have ever seen a 1972 dd only in the date and not in the lettering ? Because if anybody never heard of a dd only in the date you are right and it is just one more Machine Doubling with no vallue ! Thanks !
