I like to ship $75 at a time in the medium flat rate box. Three boxes fit perfectly in there. Just sent one out today. I use a glue gun and lots of tape. Everyone who has ever got one of these from me....has always been thrilled! I AM a professional penny packager!

Just finished another $50 bag...it must have been mostly searched. Only $2 in copper,two S mints,three wheats...and in the last two dollars, a 2000 WAM in nice shape...thought I was skunked till the end. Hoosier,what are you selling ? Copper cents? You just posted you were too busy to sell those Shields so I'm just wondering ? |

I have been selling a combination of wheats and copper or just copper. Today was the first day the clerk at the post office kinda gave me a hard time. It was in a good way, though. It only weighed 42 lbs. The middle box squeezed inbetween two end boxes of rolled copper had wheats and some indian heads in there. I just smiled at her and asked to guess what was in the box....and told her this one was a light one. The other clerk laughed when she heard that comment about the weight. Then she gave me a hard time about the HEAVY boxes that I take to her. I like what someone told me they said they had copper disc jewelry supplies in there. The other clerk knows it's pennies...she told me I wasn't the only crazy person in town doing it. But she did like how I taped the box up really well.

I did go through one $25 String box today. Had roughly 29% copper. Only 10 wheats with the oldest a 1940 and the best was an AU-1941. I'll get a pic of that up soon. Had 6 canadian coppers...2 of the HOT queen 1955 and 1957. Only 4 s-mints. There was a 68S,70Sx2..both large date,and a 73S. No wams or cams or anything else that really stuck out. I'm saving the non-coppers to go through at work during slow times. I ran through the coppers again already and rolled them up and packed them away. Not a great box but ok on copper percentage.

My Wed. Sept 18th rolls finds:
Found in $10.50 worth of penny rolls in the last two days. I just pulled out the Canadians up through 1967, and all the US ones, about 75 US. Will just list some highlights earlier ones as I've yet to check them over better and sort dates etc.
I was VERY happy that the bank didn't give me back any of my rolls I cashed in with them last week!! Hurrah! Lots of coins to check yet but I think I scooped all the Lincolns and George VI and young Elizabeths there were. Thats my usual routine, scoop the older Canadians and all Lincolns, and anything that stands out in the initial quick surface search. I hope there's a magnetic no P 2006 waiting for me or other Canadian or Lincoln goodies varieties in the pile of coins on the table!!?

Do you guys pull out the "s" mints from the seventies? Are they worth anything more than copper?

Did 1 box today.
13 - Wheaties - all 40's and 50's of course.
1 - Switzerland - 10 Rappen
2 - Mexico - 20 cents
7 - Canada - various recent date pennies
And this box produced a nice amount of copper, wasn't keeping count but I filled a deans ice cream container 3/4 of the way.
