murrellington Pillar of the Community United States 3276 Posts	Posted 01/28/2011 05:55 am so I picked up a box today and it was my best so far. before today my best box of 50 rolls had 9 wheats. today I got 17 wheats from only 36 rolls, because 14 rolls were brilliant uncirculated OBW rolls of 2010 d pennies. so I got twice as many wheats as normal from less rolls than normal. one wheat was even a steel penny from 1943. 9 were from the 40s and 8 were from the 50s. pretty exciting box for me. I live in Poway, and have averaged right at 18.4% copper coins for the past 8 months that I have been heavily roll searching. (I go through four $25 boxes each month). Wheat cents average about .4% (four tenths of one percent) - about 40 wheats per 10000 I've been through about 80000 cents from boxes and about 10000 through HWR. Next month I'll reach the 100000 coin milestone. Have you gotten many "P" mint 2009 coins? I have gathered only 4 total in about 90000 coins. (designs #1 and #2) - none of #3 or #4 yet ! Even Lewis & Clark made it to the west coast easier than the Philly 2009's ! Report this Post to the Staff

Johnny1328 Valued Member United States 268 Posts	Posted 01/28/2011 5:30 pm Yves what definition are you going by to base your opinon in the 2010 Charlton guide book on circulation Canadian coinage page XXi states in MS-60 grade. No trace of wear, Contact or handling marks are present. May be on all parts of the design. Lustre may be disturbed, but its present to high degree. The strike may be weak. It doesn't mention weather are not that it has been in circulation, just that there is no trace of wear present. I am pretty new to collecting myself so still learning. I have been learning a lot, and it doesn't help that there seems to be different grading standards in different countries.
