I keep strong MD cents. Regardless of "value", I think they're kinda cool.

Merc Crazy that is totally cool a 50% silver out of a cent roll.
I keep the small date 82's they have their own little jar they go into.

Sister called and said she picked up $5 worth. Small Mississippi town bank, customer wrapped. Got 8 wheats and a 1905 :)
She's bringing me some !

Merc - cool find on the silver six pence. I am still on the outs with the foreign coinage! tims - Nice grab on the IHC! I got one about two years ago, now I am hoping for number two! I did two boxes this week. My usual two 'coin days' were stopped cold in their tracks this week by mother nature. This week should produce more boxes...I hope! Both boxes were ok, box 2 more so than box 1. The 1935S was a new from circulation for me, those are always fun! Happy hunting! Box 1: Wheat: 6 (1942, 1951, 1953D, 1957D (2), 1958) Canadian: 44 (1961 (3), 1962, 1964, 1967 (3)) Lincoln Heritage: 14 (all four, both mint marks for none) Lincoln Shield: 32 (both mint marks) 'S' Mints: 4 (1969, 1970, 1972, 1973) Pre-82 Copper: 658 Box 2: Wheat: 10 (1935S, 1940, 1942, 1944, 1945, 1951, 1956D (2), 1957D, 1958D) Canadian: 33 (1950, 1951, 1961, 1964) Lincoln Heritage: 38 (three varieties, both mint marks for none) Lincoln Shield: 88 (all 'P') 'S' Mints: 13 (all time high for boxes thus far - 1968, 1970, 1971 (2), 1972, 1974 (8)) Pre-82 Copper: 687 - Scott |

I get more large date 82's then small date, and the copper small date is the rarest that I come accross I think I only found like 4 of them in all the boxes that I looked at.

Yep Johnny, most prevalent are the 1982 large date copper cents. The copper SD are very scarce.

Working on another string box. No wams or cams as usual. A low number of wheats, also. Only 10 with the oldest being a 1920 but very worn. Had another 10 canadian coppers with nothing special about them. No laminations this time out. I got a bunch of zincs to go back over for errors. I've gone through all of the 88,92,96,98,99,00,and 06's so far! Nothing spectacular in these. I did find one 1993 corroded counterstamp with Kennedy's face. Also, I found a 1998 20 cent mexican coin. Average copper at around 28% again. Have another bag here waiting for my attention!

Found my second WAM in two weeks! A 2000 to go with the 1999 last week. It is very sticky will post pics when it comes out of its acetone bath. Only did 5 dollars worth so very happy. Also 10 wheats one 39, two 40's and seven 50's. High count for me lately. |
