I just found a 60 small date. It is in pretty bad shape but as rare as they are in circulation it is going in my circulation folder. I tried to get pics but they came out very poorly,I may give it another try tomorrow.

Pretty sure I found a legit 70s small date. I know it doesn't carry much of a premium unless is MS but it's a cool find for me none the less. the one on the right is a small date, am I correct?

KoinKid, to me that looks like the large date, but the pics are a little blurry so I am not sure. I kept thinking I was finding small dates, but once you get a real small date then it becomes obvious. this link helps: http://www.lincolncentresource.com/...alldate.htmlthe 9 has to be really curled, and the 7 has to be up a little higher.

I checked out lincoln resource and found it quite helpful. I myself believe the LMC on the right to be a small date. The mm sits lower on the small date than the large much like the two coins I have pictured. But I am pretty new to collecting so we shall see.

could you get a clearer closeup of the coin? or is that the best you could do?

KoinKid, thats a large date...and the MM placement has nothing to do with it...the MM's are placed there by hand and can be almost anywhere

Well I have been roll searching for 10 years and never got a box, got one and turned the rolls up so wheat's showed 8 wheat's and 13 Canadian, rest normal. After the 8 wheat rolls,
110...wheat's oldest 1934 15....1959 184...1960-69 with some nice AU maybe MS 50....Canadian 1957 to mid 60's even some hanging 2's and 3's 12....70-80-90-00
Is this beginners luck for box searching?

for a bank box of pennies i'd say 110 wheats is outstanding. my average is about 8.33 wheats per box.

110 wheats for one box!! WOW . I've never in my entire life found near that many in one box. I think the most I've ever found in a box was around 50.
