That's one thing I'm looking forward to someday, showing and teaching my kids about coins. It'll be nice if I can get them as addicted to roll searching as I am, hah.

Would you believe I found this in a NF String roll I grabbed from the bank today......my first Canadian find in an American shot-gun roll If I was not a Canadian cent roll searcher, I would have not had the knowledge to look for this variety......1965 pointed 5 small bead

WildBill, I take it that is something rare ? I put all my canadian cents aside but really don't know what to do with them or what to look for.Figured I'd save them for a day when I run out of Lincolns to check them out.

yeah I'm having that trouble with my canadian cents as well. I found a 1932 and a few of the 40s with the king (as opposed to the queen), but it doesn't look like I can sell them, and I also don't care much for them so what to do? also: 100.00 yields another IHC; 1907 in xf. not too bad at all.

Hey gang. My name is Eddie and I'm a compulsive roll-searcher. First post in the thread so I thought I'd get that out of the way. Here's one the little brat (affectionately-speaking) and I found I think is worth showing. If you can't make out the date for the bad photography, it's a 1997-D. Pretty unique spot to find a chip off the old die...

Quote: Misstrike? That coin was encased in something. It was in some kind of holder. That funky rimming is the telltale sign of that. It's anybody's guess just what the holder was. It's post-mint damage, though. I like the look of that surface, BTW.
