Quote: This 55 looked like it might have some slight doubling, but the picture probably isn't good enough to tell it looks it is just a worn die.

Working on another $50 bag...so far 19 wheats...all 40's and 50's except 1 1916! 7 canadian coppers and a Polish 5 Grozny. Copper percentage roughly 28% again. Time to check for goodies!

Don't you just hate it when you record your box finds on a piece of paper and lose the piece of paper? Arg.

Ripped open a box of pennies today from the same bank that gave me a nickel box that had several buffalos. I was not expecting what I found! I opened the box to find 5 rolls with wheat backs staring right at me, 2 of the rolls had wheats on both ends! Although I can't really be upset, I was a little disappointed when I got through. I set a new personal record of 113 wheat pennies in a single box. Of those, only 9 were from before 1940. I'll list only those 1913 FR-2 (really ugly and corroded) 1918 AG-3 (You can really see all 93 years of wear on this one) 1929 VF 1930 VF 1936 (corroded) 1939 VG x3 1939-S (corroded) So in short, the wheats were kind of like what you might expect from a couple rolls of "unsearched" cents on ebay I was really hoping with all those wheat cents that I might come across my first IHC in this box, but it was not to be. Also found 3 Canadians: 1979x2, and 1980. Until next time!

wow! I had a box with 600 + wheats and I still didn't find an Indian. With the amount of pennies I search, it has got to come soon.

Picked up 16 rolls today and at the end of one roll I see the obverse of a Canadian penny. Looks like it's going to be a good haul! Speaking of IHC, I usually pick up a few rolls (except for today) and expect to find an LWC or two, but as I opened one roll a few months ago, a nice IHC rolled out. It turned out to be an 1899! I didn't care what else I found, 'cause I was just happy with that.
