$25 in CWR
8 wheats-oldest, 1934, youngest, 1957D Also found a 1940D
Copper-1st roll had 31! So I thought this is going to be great! But after that all the other rolls had 20 or less. Least-6
Found a canadian 1941, decided to try to complete the whitman 1920 to 1972. I had saved all the pre 70's before this so I had a lot to start with.
Is this kinda thing possible? Has anyone done it before? I noticed the early 20's have mintages close to 1 million, making them very hard to find.

Working on 2 String boxes. I've sorted out all of the copper. Box 1 had "5" wheats with a very good 1936D among them. Throw in another 6 canadian coppers. 700+ coppers to give me my usual 28%. Nothing too special in the zinc pile either. I haven't found anything cool or neat in the last few boxes or bags. Working on box #2 and the wheat total for this box went all the way to "8". Throw in another 7 canadian coppers, too. Once again, nothing too special about either pile of cents. A silver colored chinese coin did come out of a roll. It feels like aluminum being really light in weight. The best date on the wheats was the one I posted about asking what date do you see. A toasted 1927...there's a picture for your pleasure in the "Modern Coin" section.

Did 4 Rolls today, Very Weak! Only thing I Set aside was a 1983p that has eluded me...First roll was an odd one, about 30 2010d's in ok condition.

Got a box yesterday and got through it before work. Pretty weak box if you ask me. Found 3 wheats, 2 44-s and a 53-d. Also found around 10 S-mint memorials.
Among the s-mints was a BU 1970 that got put in a 2x2 for now.

Well it seems some of you have had some bad wheat experiences! I am not in that crowd...
45 rolls into a box and I have 18 wheats, with my favorite being a 1926D. [milestone] My oldest wheat is now a 1921! 2 years older than a 1923, my previous record. Many of the wheats are common and some are in terrible condish, but this is the best I've had by far.
Copper is a little slim though, roll high is so far 19 and low is 8, but average has probably been around 14 per roll.
I will add the complete results tomorrow.

Just finished my 10th box of Cents Copper 18.36% (459) Canadian (3) '69 the oldest Wheats (12) 1917 1945 1946 (2) 1946 D (2) 1948 1948 D 1956 D 1957 D 1958 D & 1943 (First Steel Penny from rolls) Probably only got it because of the severe Rust on it.   |

The rest of the results:
Only got one more wheat making it a total of 19! Best ever!
SLim on copper.
The 1921 and 1926D were hole fillers as well as a 1952D upgrade.

16 rolls today, 2 wheats: 1940, 1941, a 1959 D, a 2009 D LP2 (the D 2009's are hard to find here in South Florida, and I still haven't found an LP4 from either mint), and a beat up 2005 Cayman Islands penny.

Man, I'm right there with you on the 2009 pennies in Florida. I broke down and traded for LP4 and all the D coins through the mail.
