Only got one reply from Snoman, a fellow new member and thanks for your reply ...I see alot of veterans and valued members, can you weight in with your 2 cents worth ? Does it make any difference if you get pennies in a large city (such as Chicago) from a large bank, small community bank, credit union of is it pretty much luck of the draw, what's been your experience ? Also this may be a bit off topic but I did notice it mentioned in this thread, about microscopes. I see Zorb and Celestron mentioned, the Celstron according to ebay is about twice as much (80 vs 40) For those who know about these, is it worth it spending twice as much for the average penniesearcher, or use to 40 to buy more wonderful (hopefully) Lincoln cents, thanks much for your help, all.

In my inexperience, no difference. If you get lucky, it could come from anywhere. If you're unlucky, it could come from anywhere.

Personally I have the less expensive of the two, the Zorb. It's extremely easy to set up and quickly use, and the optics are excellent, and it's very easy to take photos of coins with it. I couldn't be happier. Bought mine from Amazon... it was a lot cheaper... under $30 with free shipping.

I finally broke down and purchased a Zorb digital coin microscope! It had been highly recommended, and I keep finding stuff in coin rolls that are truly amazing...

In addition to the 1857 Flying Eagle cent I found awhile back - I just found a foreign coin that is almost the equal of the FE cent.

The Zorb should arrive by the end of August - a couple days of figuring it out, and that weekend (Sept. 3rd or 4th) - I should be able to post pics.

Naw, it won't take you a few days to figure it out... it will take maybe 5 minutes! Schools use these with kids... they're dead easy to set up and immediately use! You'll see! Let us know your thoughts.

My wheat pennies came in today. I found mostly 20-29's (plains no 22's )which I was surprised to not see 40-50's although many were re occurring dates. Two Indian heads 1905 1893. 1917D 1916D 1919S 1918S.
